Artifact: Weebly Blog
Reflection:
The artifact used for standard 6.2 is the ITEC Blog which is a completion of reflections on various technology topics. I created this blog throughout my Ed. S. In the blogs I reflected upon my technology learning experiences, practices and discoveries. I had ample time to practice my instructional coaching while reflecting on my strengths and areas where growth was needed. I started the blog at the beginning of the program and completed at the culmination of the program.
Standard 6.2 Reflection requires the candidate to regularly evaluate and reflect on their professional practice and dispositions to improve and strengthen their ability to effectively model and facilitate technology-enhanced learning experiences. Taking the time to regularly evaluate and reflect throughout this program has allowed me to synthesize my learning, make improvements, and share my experiences. I also created a second blog for ITEC 7430, where I wrote several posts on various instructional technology topics. Throughout the blog digital tools to enhance my professional practice and disposition were documented. The knowledge and skills I have gained through the development of this artifact has set me up to become a leader in technology.
The reflective blogs gave me insight into my meaningful learning experience. The reflections allowed me to document my learning experience after deep thought and consideration. These blogs can serve me well after the end of the ITEC program. Within the blog posts I have listed improvements that can be made in the future. The ITEC program has been fulfilling and has had a positive impact on my professional practice and disposition. The blog that I created will allow me to continue implementing the things that I learned throughout the program into my teaching. One thing that I would do differently with my blog post if I had to make an improvement would be to add future recommendations.
This artifact impact school improvement, student learning and professional development by sharing my findings with colleagues and implementing new ideas in my classroom. The blog post had a positive impact on my professional development. The reflections allow me to grow and develop as a technology coach and leader. The impact of this artifact can be assessed by observation to see if best practices are being used in my coaching and teaching.
